Mission Statement: The Conway Symphony Orchestra exists to create meaningful experiences through performances and education.

Programs: The primary purpose of the Conway Symphony Orchestra is to provide high-quality, professional musical performances for the Central Arkansas community. Through the support of corporate and individual donors and fundraising events, we are able to keep our tickets affordable, making the enjoyment of classical and popular music available to a wide-range of patrons.

We recently added a full mainstage concert without changing the season ticket price, or raising individual prices. In addition, we expanded our discounted child/student price to all youth 18 and under, and all college students, broadening our availability to a whole new generation. Our conductor, Israel Getzov, prides himself on making the music accessible and enjoyable, often providing commentary interspersed with exciting musical selections.

The Conway Symphony Orchestra is steadily expanding our community and educational outreach programs. We regularly invite the clients of Independent Living Services to be our guests at concert performances, and provided free vouchers to our children’s concert to families involved in Boys and Girls Clubs, and local elementary schools.

We support community fundraisers through the donation of both individual and season tickets, with past recipients including the Humane Society, local healthcare facilities, public schools, civic groups, United Way children’s programs, and foster care organizations. Two years ago, our music director implemented a program to bring music into the classrooms of elementary and intermediate schools, providing a more educational and interactive experience for children than a single in-school concert. We reached over 600 students in one month, and expanded the program to more than 1,000 students last year. With additional support, we can continue to broaden the reach of the CSO in the Classroom program.

The Conway Symphony Orchestra is unique in many ways. We provide our pre-professional musicians an unparalleled opportunity to play alongside professionals in an orchestra setting. We have an international exchange relationship with two orchestras in China, that grows every year. We present a summer concert that is completely free to the public. We collaborate with other arts organizations in the area to strengthen the regional arts programs. We are proud of the community support we receive, and of the support we provide to the community.
